About the Author
K.N. Govinda Rajan retired as the Head of the Medical Physics and Safety Section at Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) in Mumbai, India, in 2006. As the head of medical physics at BARC, he was in charge of radiation safety and quality assurance of all medical institutions in the country. He has many years of experience in medical physics, medical dosimetry, and medical radiation safety. He has initiated several programs in India in the fields of mammography, diagnostic radiology, and radiation therapy with the objective of optimizing diagnostic information to patient dose in diagnostic procedures and target dose to normal tissue dose in radiation therapy treatments. He has helped set up a medical imaging laboratory in his division to test medical films coming into the country and to set minimum standards for these films. In the fields of brachytherapy and external beam therapy, he has developed quality audit procedures and audited several centers to ensure radiation safety and in-house QA.

His fields of specialization are medical radiation dosimetry, traceable calibration for brachytherapy and external beam therapy, high-energy dosimetry protocols, medical radiation safety, and ionizing radiation regulations in medicine.

Dr. Rajan has contributed significantly to medical radiation dosimetry at the international level. He has represented his country in several technical committee meetings at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria, relating to medical radiation dosimetry, medical radiation safety, safety and security of radiation sources, etc. His contributions have appeared in several IAEA publications relating to these fields. He has also served as chief investigator of several coordinated
research projects of the IAEA. As an IAEA expert in dosimetry, he has helped other countries set up calibration facilities at ISO beam qualities. He has trained several IAEA fellows in dosimetry and calibration.

Govinda Rajan was professor of medical physics at PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, India, between 2007 and 2014. Currently living in the United States, he still coordinates radiation safety research activities at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences Research and Hospitals, and he works with students during his visits to India. His research is generously funded by the Indian Atomic Energy Regulatory Board.

This book is fearless and readable. It takes on some difficult theological issues without being strident. You come away with an appreciation of Paul's ferver in protecting the early church from the effects of racial and national elitism. There is no hesitation in saying that the law is temporal and that the Spirit is the force for a Christian's moral direction. Christians overcome their sin through faith in what God has accomplished through Christ's death, burial, and resurection.

Recently I preached/taught through Galatians and was shocked to find that this commentary was more useful to me than some of the more exegetical and academic tomes.
By this I mean not only was it helpful for preaching and application, but Hansen often provided more insight into the context and gave a more theologically reasoned interpretation to this admittedly difficult letter.
I recommend this commentary to the lay person, pastor, and academics.

Refreshing

I own a dozen commentaries on Galatians and this one surprised me by its readability and usefulness. It is not very technical. It makes common sense most of the time. It is brief and concise in comparison to some other titles I own, but full of well spoken phrases and exegetical gems. You will be tempted to quote the author. I was pleasantly surprised by depth despite the size. It is not about what doctrines the author affirms; it is about how he approaches the text and what he highlights as major issues, perhaps even useful in our day and not just in Anatolia region. I'm in chains, heartbroken, suffering,sad,or under addictions only because of my own mind!!! My own free will, and worldly mind is under its own attack, the good Lord taught Hagin these Truths that set him free since 17 and kept the race of endurance thru faith in Jesus Christ. Just as Moses spirit is with us here on earth, so is Hagin's spirit, with Jesus leading the way with his mighty angels helping fight off spiritual demons. Prayer Secrets

If you are a student of the Bible or just beginning to study scriptures you will love this book. Dr. Hagin is one of the greatest prophets ever put on this earth, and in this book he writes in a straight forward, easy to understand fashion. If I were in an end times scenario this book would be a definite part of my bug-out kit. Excellent read!

What a book

Reading this book was a JOY. What a man of God. Not only was it interesting to read but so much good stuff. Took lots of notes as besides being a good read it is like a Bible Study ( amazingly wonderful study I might add) I have started utilizing the information in this book and it has really made my prayer time more effective and more focused. I would highly recommend the book just for the storyline that it follows but I do not think you could read it and not find useful information that will advance your prayer life

A loving, thorough portrait

You can sense the quality of this massive book before you even open it. The Buzz Lightyear image is a cutout piece of glossy paper, which is set into bright green fabric. The title appears on a translucent paper banner. The back of the book matches the front, except the cutout is of the back side of Buzz. Inside, a black satin ribbon is attached to use as a bookmark.

Fancy treatment indeed, but the text and images live up to it.

The text is thorough and well written, and sprinkled with dozens of interviews with key Pixar people, including Ed Catmull, Steve Jobs and John Lasseter. It's accompanied by hundreds of examples of concept art, photographs, storyboards and fully rendered film images. Everything Pixar is covered, starting with the ten formative years before "Toy Story" (including Lasseter's firing by the Disney Company), through Pixar's acquisition by Disney in 2006.

I especially liked the photographs of voice talent (Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen) taken during recording sessions, and the many behind-the-scenes stories about making the movies. In one, John Lasseter describes how funny Tom Hanks was recording the "Toy Story" scene in which Woody tries to use Buzz's arm as a stand-in for the depressed Space Ranger: " I was laughing so hard, I almost ruined the take," Lasseter remembered. "I had to leave the room and go into the recording booth with the sound engineer."

This book is so full of story

This is the latest collection to my Pixar artbook. Almost immediately, I wrapped the book up to protect the cover from the elements. The bright green cover is made of cloth-like fabric and attracts dust easily. After picking it from my desk from photographing it, some parts of the cover had already became dirty!

Old school photos, high resolution renders, great writing filled the pages made of high quality paper stock.

It tells the history of Pixar animation studios before there was Pixar animation studios, all the way up to the Disney bought-over. It stops just right before Ratatouille or there would probably be more written on Brad Bird. You'll find the true meaning of passion, determination and the love for their art.

Good Not Great!

Just finished listening to "Jago & Litefoot & Strax" released by Big Finish Productions.
Sometimes the temptation to bring about the meeting of popular characters should be avoided at all costs - especially if it's done as a gimmick to breathe new life; or at least add a side series to a popular series like Jago & Litefoot.
Yes, Victorian London is also home to Madam Vestra, Jenny, and Strax; but it doesn't mean that they should cross paths with Jago and Litefoot.
While investigating an unusual source of high-tech energy, Strax is attacked and ends up suffering from a peculiar type of amnesia that causes his to confuse Litefoot for his employer - Madam Vestra - at the same time Jago and the Professor are investigating a series of bizarre murders where the brains of individuals have been removed from the corpses that Sgt. Quick has brought to their attention.
It's an intriguing mystery; but it doesn't break new ground, nor does it get anyone out of their comfort zone - unless you count the lack of scandal Strax's comments about the same sex marriage of Madam Vestra and Jenny, which seem out of place for the era.
Despite having enjoyed the story, hopefully this adventure between Classic and New Doctor Who Companions will just be a one-time event.
Recommended.

Delightful

This story is a delightful and lighthearted tale that while being fun, never crosses the line into being absurd or campy. Strax fits right into world of Jago and Litefoot, and there's fantastic chemistry between the three leads.

The one thing I was nervous about listening to the trailer (and having seen Strax on TV is that the entire story would be one big joke about Strax's tendency to be unable to distinguish gender in humans. Yet, I needn't have worried, while Justin Richards played to this suggestion from Stephen Moffat, he didn't overplay it, thanks to a very clever scene with Ellie in the Red Tavern.

While the plot is a bit simple, the real highlight is the character interactions and they are quite fun Overall, this is a wonderful production that does a great job bringing Classic Who and the Twenty-First Century series together.
